This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing modules.
You can drag and and drop to rearrange.
You can edit modules to customize them.
The left side has modules you can add!
Some modules you can only access when you get a subscription.
Some modules have options that are only available when you get a subscription.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain modules can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Based on your paintings you have very good taste in books. A while back you did a painting of "Invisible Cities" by Calvino, and now you did an Alzabo from "The Book of the New Sun" by Gene Wolfe. I think both of those are great. What other books do you really like?
I really like lot of books: Gormengast, John Crowley "Aegypto" series, borges tales, Pynchon "v" and "Mason and Dixon", Lord Dunsany tales, Cormac Mcarthy "blood Meridian", Nabokov "Pale fire", the best Calvino books, Stanislaw Lem, lot of him, Bruno Schulz, . In the modern crew those are my favorites, then I like to read classics, xix and first XX(post-romantics english, american and french basically), some xviii siecle and some poetry like Yeats, but I have no time to read the long important classic novels(aka war and peace)Please, send me a note with your favorite ones !!
I'm also a fan of Borges and Calvino. I also like pretty much all of G.K. Chesterton's fiction, as well as Hemingway. Iris Murdoch's "The Sea, The Sea" is very good as well.
In terms of authors that are still writing I like Neal Stephenson (though I think his earlier works "Snow Crash" and "Zodiac" are his best) and Niel Gaiman's "Sandman" series is phenomenal.
I'm not as experienced in the realm of poetry, but what I have read of Dylan Thomas and Wallace Stevens I have loved.
I'm trying to read the important classic novels too, but like you said they take up a lot of time. Maybe if I have free time over the summer I'll try to get through Dante's Inferno.
I love Chesterton too. I've recently bought a book of his tales, Ive not read yet. "The sea, the sea" is a nice book (a bit psicological for me, hehe. I havent read Stephenson yet but I'm waiting to do (I have Daimond age and Azogue waiting)¿what do you suggest? snow crash is much better than that? I read some sci-fi stuff, ballard is another interesting weird guy, "a voyage to arcturus" by david lindsay is a proto-scifi great journey. I've started the Dante book, but is really boring, I suppose not reading in his original language make no sense. I'm still finishing Fausto XD. OK, with classics I refer to modern classics as well, like chesterton, dickens, hawthorne or kafka. I forgot to mention Irish one: do you know Flann O'brienn? If you like Chesterton you'll love him. I suggest to read Borges "personal library" and take everyname is there and read it, one of the best guides to read aswell "Occidental canon" by harold bloom. I envy you, you can read in english because there's tones of american and english books not translated yet in my idiom... Your country is the best in terms of actual good writing and amount of real talent...Think of Pynchon, delillo, crowley, mccarthy, to name only my favorites, and your classic ones, the sci-fi, fantasy, etc...
Hola Alehandro Colin! Just passing by to say hi. Liked your newest piece, "Neoclassical city", but it seems that you are holding in. I would like you to try harder with your concepts. Keep up the good work, will ya?
